Basketball time

Prom is over.. I can safely say I didn't not do things that I will regret next time. Firstly, I didn't follow the footsteps of Ng ZX cause apparently he kept thinking about it last night. Then again you many choose to say I no balls but the point is why do something you know you will regret? Secondly, I didn't go clubbing despite the fact that I spent 3 hours near one. Those first time clubbers who came out at around 3 looked really pathetic. Some of them obviously can't drink so its kinda stupid to stuff all the alcohol down and feel like shit after that. Thirdly, I got to take a closer look at some people. Its regrettable that I have known such people for the past few years. Now I kinda make prom sounds really horrible for me, which is quite true except for the occasional mood booster from some friends and the long hours of talk I had with Zhao Xuen.

Slept from 9 am to 3 pm and went for some bball shoot arounds. I recovered from that KFC sickness and I was able to regain my ball sense and make some pretty baskets. Then at night I went bball with some friends and we played full court with the Filipinos. Lost the first game 9-14 and almost won the second with a scoreline of 11-7 before the lights went out. What really annoyed me was that there was no clear conscious in the team to defend. I think what we lacked was team defence. The Filipinos are much bigger than the other 4 of my friends so offensive rebounds are totally impossible with only me and LJY able to contest. I had to shout at my teammates to return for defense after each shot but they are either too slow or they don't bother to. Strictly speaking, my team is just a 3.5 man team cause one guy can't play and one guy is lazy ttm. The Filipinos don't even bother to play 5 man offense on us and that's fking disrespectful. The redemption came when we trashed them in stamina in the 2nd game. We had a couple of good blocks and steals so we kinda equalized on that. All I can say is you need a good team to play good team basketball..

Okay, now I gotta talk about my favourite NBA player, Allen Iverson. I'm really glad he got back to 76ers. Although his debut was spoiled by a loss but it shows that he has matured from the years of switching between teams and almost retiring as a free agent. I think in life we have to treasure opportunities given just like how AI did with this new contract. I hope he continues to play with his heart on the court, play good basketball.
